Training Description: Significant changes were made by the 2017 legislature to statutes concerning DUIs, interlock devices, and the suspension of drivers’ licenses. The laws, taking effect October 1st, 2018, will increase the requirement for interlock devices in DUI cases. This webinar will provide information on the issuing of an order requiring an interlock device, procedures, and timeframes. Exceptions and criteria for economic hardship will also be discussed.
This course is designed primarily for limited jurisdiction judges and court staff. However, all other judicial officers and court staff are welcome to attend as well.
